Slopgames is a solo passion project. I started it because I wanted a simple place to play games without the usual modern internet nonsense—no accounts, no "forgot password" emails, and no bloated menus.

THE INSPIRATION

The site is heavily influenced by the stuff I like to play:

• 80s & 90s Arcades: 8-bit and 16-bit style games where the goal is just a high score.
• DOS & Retro Consoles: The lo-fi feel of early PC games and classic home systems.
• Flash & Mobile: Simple, addicting browser games from the early 2000s and quick mobile-style time-killers.

The goal is for every single game on this site to have its own leaderboard.

I value privacy, mostly because I have no interest in collecting or managing your data.

1. NO LOG-INS

There are no sign-ups or email requirements. You can play every game on the site anonymously.

2. LEADERBOARDS (EVERY GAME)

Since every game features a leaderboard, here is how your data is handled:

• What is saved: Whatever nickname or initials you type in, plus your score.
• Publicity: This info is public on the leaderboard. Please don’t use your real name or anything private.

3. HOSTING (NEOCITIES)

This site is hosted on Neocities.org. Like most hosts, they might log basic, non-identifying info (like your browser type or IP) for their own traffic stats.

• Integrated LootLocker for global leaderboards across the library.

• Currently working on more 16-bit style arcade titles.
